Liwa Desert Safari is a licensed desert tour operator based in Abu Dhabi, operating since 2010. The company specializes in high-dune experiences in the Empty Quarter (Rub’ al Khali) with insured 4x4 vehicles and authorized off-road drivers.
With more than 15 years of experience in desert tourism, we specialize in high-dune adventures in Liwa, one of the most beautiful desert regions in the UAE.
We are operated by Xtreme Sightseeing Tourism, a licensed tourism company. Licensed and approved by Abu Dhabi tourism authorities to organize and conduct desert adventure tours.
Our team includes licensed off-road drivers, trained guides, and experienced desert professionals. We proudly serve international visitors from around the world.

About the Empty Quarter (Rub’ al Khali)
The Empty Quarter, known as Rub’ al Khali, is the largest continuous sand desert in the world, covering around 650,000 square kilometers across the Arabian Peninsula. In the UAE, it lies in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, near Liwa Oasis.
This part of Abu Dhabi is known for its tall sand dunes and vast open desert. One of the well-known dunes in the area is Tel Moreeb, which stands at over 300 meters. The desert here feels more remote and expansive compared to safari locations closer to the city.
